SAP FICO Consultant

Job Brief

Implementing and managing the SAP FICO module, which includes both Finance Accounting and Controlling. This role involves analyzing and designing the SAP FICO systems, configuring the software to our business needs, and ensuring the seamless integration of the FICO module with other systems within the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, configure, and test the SAP FICO modules to meet business requirements and implement new functionalities and improve existing functionalities within the SAP FICO module.
• Analyze business processes and requirements to provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Ensure seamless integration of the SAP FICO module with other modules and external systems.
• Provide support and maintenance for SAP FICO, including troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on SAP FICO processes and configurations.
• Train end-users (in premises - site - remotely) in the use of the SAP FICO system and provide ongoing support.
• Conducting structured testing both internally and with users to ensure the system operates as intended. Following this, SAP FICO consultants validate the system through testing and stabilize the solution for optimal performance.
• Configuring the settings for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset accounting. Creating custom reports and dashboards for financial performance insights is also a key part of their job to aid in effective decision-making.
• Design SAP FICO solutions that meet business needs.

Required Competencies and Behavior

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP FICO configuration and support.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
